Actor Nargis Fakhri recently shared her approach to skincare, emphasizing that no quick solutions exist for healthy skin. In a conversation with Soha Ali Khan on Mashable India, she explained that her skin routine relies on a combination of three key factors: adequate sleep, proper hydration, and nutritious food choices. Fakhri aims for around 8 hours of sleep each night, drinks plenty of water, and chooses foods rich in vitamins and minerals. Nutritionist Dr Anjana Kalia supported Fakhri's advice, noting that these three elements work together to maintain skin elasticity, repair cells, and enhance natural glow. Collagen production during sleep, toxin removal through hydration, and antioxidants from food all contribute to healthier skin. Experts recommend 7–8 hours of sleep, 8–10 glasses of water daily, and a diet with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and whole grains for long-term skin vitality.

Three Essential Pillars for Healthy, Glowing Skin
Nargis Fakhri believes that healthy skin comes from combining sleep, hydration, and nutrition. During sleep, the body produces collagen, keeping skin firm and repairing damage from UV rays and pollution. Poor sleep increases cortisol, which triggers inflammation and worsens acne. Hydration flushes toxins and maintains moisture, preventing dull and flaky skin. Adults should drink 2–2.5 litres of water daily and include water-rich foods like cucumbers and watermelon. Nutritious food choices matter too. Foods with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins E, C, and A reduce inflammation and prevent premature ageing. Avoiding excessive sugar and processed foods prevents collagen breakdown. A diet with whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and colorful fruits ensures long-term skin radiance.
