She revealed that she brings home-cooked dal and bhindi every single day, carried in a Vaya hot case with her own utensils. The simplicity of her meal ensures nobody asks to share it, allowing her to enjoy it peacefully. While she occasionally enjoys meals from colleagues, including keema biryani from Andhra MPs and khichdi from Supriya Sule, her staple remains consistent. Nutrition experts confirm that bhindi-roti can be healthy when portion sizes and cooking methods are mindful. However, eating the same meal daily may create nutritional gaps. Bhindi offers fiber, vitamins C and K, folate, and antioxidants, supporting digestion, immunity, and bone health. Fitness dietician Ashlesha Joshi from Tone 30 Pilates explained that bhindi-roti can support a healthy diet if prepared mindfully. Bhindi is low in calories and rich in dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, and antioxidants. These nutrients aid digestion, boost immunity, support bone health, and regulate blood sugar. However, relying on identical meals daily may limit nutritional variety. Joshi recommends adding protein sources such as dal, paneer, or yogurt, along with colorful vegetables or salads. Including healthy fats like olive oil or nuts helps absorb fat-soluble vitamins and provides sustained energy. A varied diet ensures comprehensive intake of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for long-term wellness.
