Jitendra Kumar from Atamau village, Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, who went missing in 2018 after marrying Sheelu and having a son, has been found alive in Instagram reels filmed in Ludhiana, Punjab, appearing with another woman whom he reportedly married. Sheelu, living separately with their son, recognized him in the videos and stated that his family had concealed his whereabouts and wrongly accused her family of involvement in his disappearance. Jitendra’s family had filed a missing person complaint in April 2018, and police had conducted searches without success. Following the discovery of the reels, Sheelu filed a fresh petition at Sandila police station. Assistant Superintendent of Police Nripendra Kumar confirmed the ongoing investigation and said legal action will be taken based on findings. (Updated 1 Sep 2025, 18:37 IST; source: link)
