Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 3 September 2025 affirmed that the Modi government will not rest until all Naxals either surrender, are caught, or eliminated, reiterating the commitment to make India Naxal-free by 31 March 2026. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Shah honored personnel from the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard, and CoBRA for their role in 'Operation Black Forest' conducted on Karregutta hill in Chhattisgarh. He praised the forces for overcoming harsh conditions and threats such as IEDs to dismantle a major Naxal base camp, destroy material dumps, and disrupt supply chains. Shah condemned Naxals for damaging underdeveloped regions by destroying schools, hospitals, and blocking welfare schemes. He highlighted that ongoing anti-Naxal operations have positively impacted 6.5 crore people across regions from Pashupatinath to Tirupati. The event was also attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma. The government assured full support for security personnel injured in action during these operations. (Updated 3 Sep 2025, 19:45 IST; source: link)
