Woman Severely Injured in Stray Dog Attack in Anakapalli

A 30-year-old woman named S. Jyothi was severely injured after being attacked by a stray dog near her home on Kotni Veedhi in Anakapalli on September 2, 2025. She was initially treated at NTR Hospital in Anakapalli and then referred to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam. The attack occurred while she was engaged in household chores. Following the incident, the veterinary wing of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation captured 14 stray dogs from various parts of the town, all of which were vaccinated.
