Tata Capital has completed investor roadshows in major global financial centers ahead of its planned initial public offering (IPO) valued at USD 2 billion (approximately Rs 17,200 crore) scheduled for the week beginning September 22, 2025. The non-banking financial company, part of the Tata Group, is expected to debut on stock exchanges by September 30, making it the largest IPO of 2025. The roadshows, initiated in August, attracted strong interest from both global and domestic institutional investors. The IPO will include a fresh issue of up to 21 crore equity shares and an offer for sale of up to 26.58 crore shares, with promoter Tata Sons and International Finance Corporation among the sellers. Tata Capital is classified as an upper-layer NBFC by the Reserve Bank of India, which mandates its listing within three years. The company is one of India’s largest diversified NBFCs with a gross loan book of Rs 2,26,550 crore as of March 2025. This IPO is anticipated to be among the five largest in India in the last decade.
