Central Employees – DA Hike : There is good news for central employees and pensioners! In the month of July, once again a 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance is expected. At present the rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief is 42% according to the prescribed level in the 7th Pay Commission. In the next amendment it can be increased to 46%. This estimate has been made from the figures of AICPI i.e. All India Consumer Price Index till March. If DA Hike increases again by 4 percent, then there can be a huge increase in the salary of the employees!

In November last year, state government employees protested outside the West Bengal Assembly in Kolkata demanding a hike in Dearness Allowance at par with central government employees. The employees said that they have not been given Revised Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) since the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission by the Mamta Banerjee government.

Dearness Allowance received by central employees will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent in July. Although the figures for April to June are yet to come! After which it will be indicated that how much DA is to be increased in July! According to media reports, at present the employees are getting 42 per cent DA. If it is increased by 4 percent, then dearness allowance (DA Hike) will be 46 percent! And the new rates will be applicable from 1 July 2023!

Central employees have been demanding an increase in their minimum pay and fitment factor for a long time. Central employees are demanding that their minimum pay should be increased from Rs 18000 to Rs 26000. Also, the fitment factor should be increased from 2.5 to 3.68. So a good news is coming out in this case too! Soon, the increase in the minimum wage and dearness allowance of central employees can be approved.

After a long time, the Central Government had increased the Dearness Allowance of the central employees. In which dearness allowance was increased from 17% to 28% in July 2021! After this, the government increased it by 1 and 3 percent to 31 percent in October 2021! Then the government had increased the DA of the employees by three percent in March 2022! With this increase, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased from 31 per cent to 34 per cent. After this, after increasing by four percent twice in January 2023, DA Hike has become 42 percent!
DA of 18 months will be given in 8 installments
The Finance Minister said that in the financial year 2022-23, of Bengal! SGDP (SGDP) is expected to grow by 8.4 percent, industry by 7.8 percent! He also said this! That agricultural income tax on tea farms will be waived for 2023-24 and 2024-25! Dearness Allowance can be 45 or 46 percent increment
According to the report’s estimates, the total Dearness Allowance will increase by 45 percent and 4 percent to 4 percent if there is a significant increase in the AICPI index figures between January and July. The updated prices will be effective from July 1, 2023! Although the amount and timing of DA Hike has not been formally confirmed, it may be revealed around Raksha Bandhan! In future, central employees are eligible for 42 per cent DA benefit, which will be effective from January 1 to June 1, 2023. 48 lakh employees and 69 lakh pensioners are getting its benefits.
Dearness Allowance Level 9 Grade Pay
For an employee in Level 9 of 5400-Grade Pay, the basic pay is Rs 53,100 per month! Dearness Allowance (7th Pay Commission DA) of 42% on Basic Salary! 22,302 at the rate of Rs. 22,302 and Rs. 20,178 at the rate of 38 per cent. That’s why the dearness allowance to be received from 1 July 2023 to 31 December! In comparison, from January 1, 2023, there will be an increase of Rs 2,124 in Dearness Allowance!
