Catholicos Baselios Joseph of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church visited Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad, on 25 Aug 2025. He met Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil during the Syro-Malabar bishops' synod. The Catholicos spoke about the need for harmony between the Syro-Malabar and Jacobite Churches. The Major Archbishop welcomed the spirit of brotherhood and called for joint efforts to protect their shared religious traditions. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the two Churches.
