Israeli airstrikes struck several locations in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, on Sunday, including a power plant, a gas station, and areas near the presidential palace, following a missile attack by Houthi rebels toward Israel. The strikes, reportedly involving about 10 Israeli jets dropping approximately 35 munitions, targeted Houthi military infrastructure, including energy facilities and fuel storage. The Houthi group confirmed the attacks and reported at least two deaths and 35 wounded. Residents described strong explosions and damage to buildings. Videos circulated on social media showed smoke and fire in the city. Israel has not officially confirmed the latest strikes but stated the attacks were in response to repeated Houthi attacks on Israeli territory. The Houthis pledged to continue their military operations against Israel. This marks the first reported Israeli airstrikes in Yemen since last week, following the Houthi missile launch carrying multiple warheads toward Israel on Friday.
