In Mahisagar district's Balasinor town, a Class 8 student was stabbed by a classmate at a government school following a dispute over a game that occurred a day earlier. The attack happened as students were leaving school on Thursday evening, resulting in injuries to the victim's shoulder, waist, and abdomen. The injured student was hospitalized and is reported to be out of danger. Police have registered a case under relevant sections against the accused. This incident follows a recent fatal stabbing of a Class 10 student in Ahmedabad on August 19, where a junior student attacked his senior with a box cutter after a prior altercation. In the Mahisagar case, classmates reported the accused had brought a knife to school and had been seen taking it out before the attack.
