Singh claimed that capable candidates were systematically ignored, while individuals with financial resources and political clout were awarded tickets instead. He also highlighted how prominent leaders, including former Chief Ministers Bhajan Lal and Bansi Lal's family members, along with Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh, were forced to exit the Haryana Congress over the past two decades. Singh pointed out that despite predictions favoring Congress victory, persistent organizational decay led to unexpected defeat.
Marginalization of Kumari Selja and Personal Grievances
Singh strongly criticized the treatment of Kumari Selja, describing her as the tallest Dalit woman leader and a six-term MP whose contributions were ignored by state leadership driven by arrogance and family interests. He stated that Dalit voters who supported Congress during Lok Sabha elections were alienated when Selja was sidelined and casteist remarks against her were allowed to circulate. Singh mentioned his own appointment as coordinator for Selja's Sirsa Lok Sabha campaign, which reportedly made state leaders insecure. He also took a veiled dig at the Hooda family, criticizing how personal political power was consolidated, including nominating Deepender Singh Hooda for a Rajya Sabha seat in 2020 instead of promoting deserving members from marginalized communities.
