June 1, 2024, New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the deadline for higher educational institutions (HEIs) to apply for offering programs under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. HEIs can now register until June 15, 2024. The previous deadline was also June 15, 2024, but this has been reiterated due to various requests from educational institutions.
Application Submission Details
HEIs interested in offering ODL and Online mode programs can submit their applications on the official UGC website: deb.ugc.ac.in. The UGC had earlier directed all HEIs offering ODL and/or Online courses to upload necessary details such as application, affidavit, statutory body approval, regulatory authority approval, and additional information on their websites.
Purpose of the Extension
The extension aims to help students verify the status of HEIs before enrolling in Online and ODL courses. This decision ensures transparency and assists students in making informed decisions regarding their education.
