IIT Guwahati will start the GATE 2026 registration on 28 Aug 2025 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The last date to apply without a late fee is 28 Sep. Candidates can apply with a late fee until 9 Oct. The exam will be held on 7, 8, 14, and 15 Feb 2026. Results will be announced on 19 Mar 2026. Eligible candidates include those in the third or higher year of their degree or who have completed degrees in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities from recognised institutes. The application fee is ₹1,000 per paper during regular registration and ₹1,500 for female/SC/ST/PwD candidates. For others, it is ₹2,000 and ₹2,500 during the extended period.
