Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced new undergraduate programs in German Studies and Japanese Studies, along with an Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling, for the 2025–26 academic session. Admissions for these self-financed courses are open online until September 6, 2025, with entrance tests scheduled for September 14, 2025. The B.A. (Hons.) programs in German and Japanese Studies are part of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, combining language proficiency with cultural studies, translation, interpretation, and industry applications. The Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling is accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and aims to prepare students for careers as RCI-approved counselors in various sectors including education, healthcare, government, and NGOs. JMI’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi stated these programs expand the university’s academic offerings in foreign languages and child counseling, addressing significant educational and professional needs.
