After registration ends, NTA will activate the correction facility on December 1 and 2, allowing registered candidates to edit or rectify details in their forms. The session 1 examination is scheduled from January 21 to 30, 2026. NTA has clarified that even if JEE Main dates clash with other exams, no changes will be made to allotted dates or shifts. Additionally, calculators will not be permitted during the examination. The test is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, and other participating institutions across the country.

Application Process and Important Guidelines

Candidates must visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on the registration link under candidate activity. The process requires entering basic details including name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number, followed by verification through OTP. After logging in with generated credentials, students need to fill personal and academic information, upload scanned documents like photograph, signature, and certificates according to specified requirements, and pay the application fee. Once submitted, candidates should download the confirmation page. NTA has stated that calculators are not allowed during the examination, and exam dates will not be changed regardless of clashes with other tests.
