The Medical Counselling Committee has revised the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule and announced that round 2 registration will commence from December 5 onwards. Over 2 lakh candidates appeared for NEET PG 2025, with 1,28,116 qualifying for admission. The MCC oversees counselling for 50 percent All India Quota postgraduate medical and dental seats across government, deemed, and private institutions. This year's process faced significant delays due to legal scrutiny and pending seat approvals from the National Medical Commission. Round 1 registration began on October 17, but the complete schedule was not released immediately. The final seat matrix was uploaded on November 19, over a month after registrations started. The seat allotment result for round 1 was published on November 22. Institutions will verify round 1 allotted candidate data from December 2 to 3.

Revised Schedule and Seat Matrix Details
The MCC uploaded the college and course-wise final deemed and DNB PG seat matrix on November 19, more than a month after registration commenced. The National Medical Commission sanctioned 239 new PG seats for deemed universities, which were included in the final matrix. Additionally, 235 PG DNB seats were withdrawn, comprising 186 government DNB and 49 private DNB seats, leading to a recast roster for government institutes offering DNB courses. The extended delays affected state counselling processes, which are conducted after MCC rounds to prevent seat blocking. Candidates can register for counselling on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
