2 min read

Project Veer Gatha 5.0 has recorded remarkable participation from students nationwide, continuing its mission to promote patriotism and honor the bravery of Armed Forces personnel. Launched initially in 2021, this initiative encourages young learners to creatively express their respect for gallantry award recipients and India's legendary warriors. This year's edition witnessed involvement from over 1.92 crore students spanning 36 States and Union Territories. The project has consistently grown since its beginning and now extends to Indian schools located abroad. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, it emphasizes experiential learning. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla from the Indian Air Force shared an inspiring message with participants. Winners will be selected through a structured process, with national awardees receiving cash prizes and recognition in the capital, while district and state-level achievers will be felicitated locally.

Recognition and Awards for Young Participants

The competition follows a four-stage selection framework based on the NEP 2020 curricular structure. A total of 100 national winners will be chosen, each receiving a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 along with felicitation ceremonies held in New Delhi. Beyond the national level, the initiative recognizes talent at grassroots levels with 2,956 district-level winners and 288 State and Union Territory-level winners receiving acknowledgment in their respective regions. Students submitted diverse creative entries including essays, artwork, and multimedia presentations that celebrated the courage and sacrifice of military personnel. The project encourages students to research and honor India's historic warriors while developing a deeper connection with national values and heritage.
