XLRI Jamshedpur offers a 10-month Executive Development Programme in HR Business Partnering designed for professionals aiming to transition from traditional HR roles to strategic positions. As organisations increasingly demand HR professionals who contribute to business strategy rather than perform routine tasks, this programme equips participants with essential skills through live online sessions, case studies, peer learning, and a guided live project. The curriculum covers understanding the HRBP role, business transformation, core competencies, strategic HR practices, and organisational development. Participants also benefit from two days of on-campus learning at XLRI Jamshedpur and faculty-guided handholding sessions. With the HR function evolving into a strategic triumvirate of people strategists, scientists, and technologists, this programme helps professionals align HR solutions with organisational goals. The programme fee is ₹2,15,000 plus GST, with the last date to apply being November 30, 2025.
Curriculum and Learning Structure
The programme covers five core areas: understanding the HRBP role and its distinction from traditional HR positions; business transformation and industry context; core skills including compensation practices, influencing abilities, and HR policy customisation; strategic HR practices focusing on engagement, performance, and talent management; and people and organisational development emphasising diversity, inclusion, learning initiatives, and ROI measurement. Participants attend live online classes every Sunday from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM via the VCNow platform. The programme includes two days of on-campus learning at XLRI Jamshedpur, a real-time project addressing organisational needs, and faculty-guided sessions of 30 minutes each. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion from XLRI and eligibility to apply for XLRI Executive Alumni status.
