The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has sent a show-cause notice to Al-Falah University for falsely claiming accreditation on its website. The university is currently under investigation in connection with the Delhi blast probe. NAAC clarified that Al-Falah University has neither been accredited nor has it applied for accreditation. The university's website incorrectly stated that its three constituent colleges, including Al Falah School of Engineering and Technology and Al-Falah School of Education and Training, received Grade A from NAAC. Officials described this claim as absolutely wrong and misleading to parents, students, and other stakeholders. NAAC has demanded an explanation and ordered the university to immediately remove all false accreditation details from its website and any publicly distributed documents. The notice comes after three doctors linked to Al-Falah University were arrested following a high-intensity blast near Red Fort on Monday that killed 13 people.

False Claims Prompt Regulatory Action
NAAC's show-cause notice specifically highlighted that Al-Falah University publicly displayed misleading information about its accreditation status. The university's website claimed that Al Falah School of Engineering and Technology, operating since 1997, and Al-Falah School of Education and Training, running since 2006, both received Grade A accreditation from NAAC. It also mentioned Brown Hill College of Engineering and Technology, established in 2008. Officials emphasized that these statements are completely false and deceive the public, particularly parents and students making educational decisions. The council has now directed the institution to remove all references to NAAC accreditation from its website and other publicly available materials while seeking a formal explanation.
