UP Board announces revised timetable for 2026 10th and 12th exams; earlier

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has released a revised examination schedule for select papers of the 2026 board exams, affecting Classes 10 and 12. Secretary Bhagwati Singh announced that only three papers have been rescheduled, while all other exams will proceed according to the original timetable. The modifications primarily involve Hindi-related papers on February 18 and the rescheduling of the Intermediate Sanskrit examination. The board exams are set to begin on February 18, 2026, and conclude on March 12, 2026, with examinations conducted in two shifts daily. Over 52 lakh students, including approximately 27.5 lakh High School and 24.8 lakh Intermediate candidates, are registered for these examinations. The updated timetable is now available on the official website. Students and schools are advised to note these changes and prepare accordingly for the revised schedule.

Key Changes in Exam Schedule

For Class 10 students, both Hindi and Elementary Hindi papers will now be conducted in the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am on February 18, 2026. Previously, Elementary Hindi was scheduled for the afternoon. For Class 12 students, General Hindi and Hindi papers will be held together in the afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm on the same date, whereas earlier General Hindi was planned for the morning. Additionally, the Class 12 Sanskrit examination has been moved from February 20 morning shift to March 12, 2026, afternoon shift. All other examinations remain unchanged from the initially announced schedule, and students can access the complete revised timetable on the official UPMSP website.
