The Delhi government is launching a large-scale digital profiling exercise covering over 1,000 government schools to assess and document their infrastructure and safety standards. The project will create detailed digital records of 1,086 schools operating from 799 building premises across the city. Using advanced technology including drones, high-resolution imaging, and 360-degree room documentation, the initiative aims to capture comprehensive data on existing facilities, structural stability, and physical condition of school buildings. A web-based application will automatically generate analytical reports and identify gaps against standards set by agencies like CBSE and the National Disaster Management Authority. Officials state this data-driven approach will help the government identify infrastructure deficiencies, prioritise repairs, and plan long-term improvements. The exercise represents a first-of-its-kind comprehensive digital inventory aimed at ensuring safer and better-equipped learning environments for students across Delhi's government schools.

Technology-Driven Assessment and Digital Documentation
The selected agency will employ advanced tools such as drones, high-resolution imaging, and 360-degree room documentation to survey each school. Collected data will be uploaded in real-time through a specially designed web-based application that automatically generates analytical reports. The application includes features like GPS tagging, role-based access control, data validation, and customised report generation. The agency will assess the condition of various assets including classrooms, toilets, electrical fittings, furniture, laboratory equipment, and sports facilities. Assets will be categorised under conditions such as good, minor repair, major repair, or replacement needed. Additionally, safety and structural stability assessments will be conducted using visual inspections and non-destructive tests like rebound hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity tests under qualified structural engineers' supervision.
