IAF AFCAT 2026-Notification released at afcat.edcil.co.in, registration begins

The Indian Air Force has announced the Air Force Common Admission Test 2026 notification. Interested candidates can register through the official portal afcat.edcil.co.in. The registration window opens on November 17 and closes on December 14, 2025. The online examination is scheduled for January 31, 2026. The test will feature 100 objective-type questions totaling 300 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. All questions will be in English only. The examination fee is set at Rs 550 plus GST, payable only through online modes such as credit card, debit card, or net banking. Cash, cheque, and demand draft payments are not accepted. Candidates must verify their eligibility criteria, including age limits and educational qualifications, through the detailed notification available on the official website before submitting their applications.

Age Requirements and Application Fee Details

For the Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry, candidates must be between 20 and 24 years as of January 1, 2027, meaning they should be born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2007. Those holding a valid Commercial Pilot License from DGCA India can apply up to 26 years of age. For Ground Duty branches (Technical and Non-Technical), the age range is 20 to 26 years as of January 1, 2027, with birthdates between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007. The application fee is Rs 550 plus GST, payable only through online payment gateways using credit cards, debit cards, or net banking. Physical payment modes are not permitted.
