The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has officially announced the exam schedule for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026. This mandatory examination is designed for Class 12 Science stream students seeking admission to degree engineering and degree/diploma pharmacy courses across Gujarat. The test will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at district-level centres throughout the state. Since its inception in 2017, following a government resolution from the state's Education Department, GUJCET has been conducted annually. Students from Group A, Group B, and Group AB of the Science stream are eligible to appear for this entrance test. The online application form and detailed information booklet will be made available soon on the board's official website. A separate press release will announce the submission and fee payment dates.

Exam Pattern, Timing and Language Options
The GUJCET 2026 will be held from 10am to 4pm at various district centres. The question paper features multiple-choice questions covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Physics and Chemistry form a combined paper with 80 questions (40 each), totaling 80 marks and 120 minutes duration. Mathematics and Biology have separate papers with 40 questions each, worth 40 marks and 50 minutes each. Each subject requires a separate OMR answer sheet. Students can choose to take the exam in Gujarati, English, or Hindi. The results will determine eligibility for engineering and pharmacy admissions in Gujarat-based institutions.
