Hapur Schools Closed: The administration of Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, has declared a school holiday for all government and private schools until August 2, 2024, due to the Kanwar Yatra. Schools will be closed from today, July 26, until August 2, 2024. Students and parents are advised to stay in contact with their school administration for any updates.
District Magistrate Prerna Sharma addressed the media, stating that previously, diversions were ordered for heavy vehicles only. However, from July 26, light vehicles will also be diverted. This measure, along with the school holiday, aims to prevent any travel-related issues during this period. All government and private schools will remain closed.
In addition to Hapur, schools in Haridwar will also be closed from July 27 to August 2, 2024. The District Magistrate of Haridwar explained that the decision was made due to the large influx of devotees expected for the Kanwar Yatra.
