NEET Scandal: Mastermind and Students Confess to Paper Leak (Price: ₹30-32 Lakh)

21-06-24: In a shocking revelation, the alleged mastermind behind the recent NEET paper leak case, Amit Anand, has confessed to orchestrating the entire operation. Anand disclosed that the leaked NEET question paper and answers were sold to candidates for a staggering price ranging from ₹30-32 lakh.

According to Anand’s confession, he had acquired a leaked NEET question paper a day before Exam was held on May 5, 2024. He then provided leaked paper and answers to three NEET aspirants – Anurag Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Amit Anand himself – who memorized solutions overnight.

Investigation has uncovered substantial evidence against Anand, with authorities finding burnt remnants of NEET question paper and answer sheet at his residence. Anand also confessed to being involved in similar leaks in past, exposing the deep-rooted corruption within examination system.

In a related development, Anurag Yadav, one of NEET candidates, has been arrested in connection with result irregularities. Yadav admitted to receiving the leaked NEET question paper and its answers beforehand and was shocked to find that Actual exam paper matched leaked one provided by his uncle.

Arrests and Investigations

The arrests in connection with the NEET paper leak scandal have reached a total of 13, with one of the detained individuals identified as a Junior Engineer named Sikandar from  Danapur Municipality. Sikandar had allegedly expressed interest in aiding NEET aspirants and agreed to the terms of payment proposed by Amit Anand. Case against Amit Anand has been registered at Shastrinagar police station in Patna, Bihar, where he allegedly confessed to his culpability during interrogation .Originating from Munger district in Bihar, Anand resided in a rented apartment in AG Colony, Patna, from where he conducted his operations.

Government Response

Union Education Ministry has demanded a detailed report from Bihar Police’s Economic Offences Unit regarding the irregularities in NEET exam.  Government has expressed its commitment to upholding the integrity of Examination process and safeguarding interests of students.However, the early release of NEET-UG 2024 results on June 4, amidst ongoing scandal, has further fueled public outrage and demands for stricter regulations and oversight.  The education sector, stakeholders, and students nationwide are eagerly awaiting findings of the investigation and implementation of comprehensive reforms to prevent such breaches in future.
