J-K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave regularisation orders to 863 contingent paid workers of the school education department in Jammu. He urged them to focus on public service, saying the future depends on today's education quality. Abdullah announced all government schools in J-K will have smart classrooms and labs. He also launched the Vidya Samiksha Kendra and new ICT platforms. The CM said ₹450 crore is set for education infrastructure. Minister Sakina Itoo called it a relief for hundreds of families.
