Jindal Steel Becomes First Diversified Large Enterprise Recognised as NCVET Awarding Body

New Delhi, September 27Jindal Steel has become the first large diversified enterprise and the first integrated steel manufacturer in India to be recognised as an Awarding Body by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).

The agreement grants Jindal Steel PAN-India jurisdiction in the Large Indian Enterprise/MNC category, allowing it to design and implement industry-aligned skilling standards across sectors.

Boost to National Skilling Goals

The recognition empowers Jindal Steel to introduce structured skilling programmes, bridge the gap between education and employment, and align qualifications with the National Credit Framework under NEP 2020.

Company officials said the move will ensure global portability of credentials, enhance career mobility, and strengthen India’s workforce readiness in core sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and green energy transition.
