New Delhi, September 27 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online application process for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The exam will determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and PhD admissions in science fields, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Geology.

Exam date: December 18, 2025 (two shifts – 9:30 am to 12 noon, and 3 pm to 6 pm)
The test will be 180 minutes long, with city intimation slips and admit cards released a few days before the exam.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks. Final-year postgraduates can also apply. The upper age limit for JRF is 30 years, while there is no age limit for Assistant Professorship or PhD admissions.
Application Process:
Candidates need to register on csirnet.nta.nic.in, fill personal and academic details, select exam centres, upload documents, and pay the fee via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. Only one subject per candidate is allowed, as per the official notification.
