Noida, September 24, 2025: The upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar is set to transform not only India’s aviation sector but also its job market. Once fully operational, the mega airport is expected to generate nearly 1.5 million direct and indirect jobs, offering opportunities across aviation, hospitality, logistics, and technology sectors.
Aviation and Cargo Sector Jobs
With operations beginning, the demand for Air Traffic Control (ATC) officers, technicians, and ground-handling staff will rise sharply. Roles like baggage handlers, ramp operators, and aircraft maintenance staff will see thousands of openings.
The airport, spread across 5,845 hectares, also houses an 80-acre cargo terminal, poised to be India’s largest cargo hub. This will create employment for logistics coordinators, warehouse managers, and cold storage operators.
Hospitality and Retail Roles
To enhance passenger convenience, the airport will feature food courts, retail stores, and restaurants, generating demand for chefs, sales staff, cashiers, and hospitality managers.
With more hotels and guest houses coming up around the airport, opportunities will grow for hotel managers, receptionists, and housekeeping staff.
Security and Administrative Posts
For international flight operations, customs and immigration officers will be deployed. The airport will also have its own police station, fire brigade, and CISF units, opening job opportunities for trained security professionals.
Technical and High-Skilled Careers
The airport’s functioning will require operations managers, pilots, and flight attendants, along with skilled professionals like civil engineers, electrical technicians, IT specialists, and digital system experts.
Specialized staff will also be needed to manage check-in kiosks, surveillance, and advanced networking systems.
Officials have confirmed that the Noida International Airport will not only strengthen India’s aviation capacity but also serve as a major employment hub for youth across Delhi-NCR and nearby states.
