New Delhi, September 25, 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the tentative datesheet for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2026. According to the official notification, the examinations will be held from February 17, 2026, to July 15, 2026, with nearly 45 lakh students expected to appear across India and abroad.
The exams will cover 204 subjects and will be conducted at centres in India and 26 foreign countries. CBSE has clarified that this is only a tentative schedule, and the final datesheet will be released after receiving the complete list of subjects from all affiliated schools.

Evaluation Process
As per CBSE’s guidelines, the evaluation of answer sheets will start 10 days after each paper. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is held on February 20, 2026, its evaluation will begin on March 3, 2026, and continue till March 15, 2026. Each subject has been allotted 12 days for evaluation.
