Noida Medical Admission Fraud: ₹5 Lakh Scam Busted, Three Arrested

1 min read

Noida: In a major action against admission rackets, Noida police have arrested three men for allegedly duping NEET-UG aspirants with false promises of securing medical seats. Officials said the accused had taken around ₹5 lakh from students and parents, assuring them of confirmed MBBS admissions in reputed medical colleges.

According to investigators, the gang targeted anxious candidates during the ongoing NEET UG 2025 counselling process. They allegedly claimed to have “direct contacts” with officials who could ensure seat allotment. After collecting money, the accused switched off their phones, leaving families in distress.

Acting on complaints, the Special Task Force (STF) traced the suspects and arrested them in Noida. Police also recovered fake admission documents, forged receipts, and cash during the raid. Authorities have warned students and parents to rely only on the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) portal and avoid falling into such traps.

Senior officials added that counselling is fully transparent and merit-based. Any attempt to bypass the official process through agents or middlemen can lead to financial loss and legal trouble.

The case highlights the growing menace of admission scams in NCR, especially during competitive exam seasons. Police have appealed to the public to immediately report suspicious calls, emails, or counselling “offers” promising shortcuts to admissions.
