RCB Breaks Silence After Bengaluru Stampede, Launches Support FundSaralnama

On 28 Aug 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their three-month silence on social media following the tragic stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium on 4 June 2025. The stampede during RCB's IPL victory parade caused 11 deaths and injured 75 people. RCB called their silence "grief" and announced the launch of the 'RCB Cares' fund to help injured fans with medical support. The franchise had earlier given ₹10 lakh compensation to families of the deceased. The tragedy was linked to poor crowd management, and the Karnataka government held RCB responsible. Due to safety concerns, upcoming Women's World Cup matches in Bengaluru were moved to Navi Mumbai, and the Maharaja Trophy was shifted to Mysuru. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has not hosted major cricket events since 17 May 2025. (Updated 28 Aug 2025, 14:00 IST; source: link)
