PV Sindhu reached the Round of 16 at the 2025 BWF World Championships in Paris. She beat Malaysia's Letshanaa Karupathevan 21-19, 21-15 on 27 Aug 2025. Sindhu made a strong comeback after trailing 12-18 in the first game. Indian mixed doubles pair Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto also advanced to the pre-quarterfinals. HS Prannoy won his first match and moved to the next round. However, Lakshya Sen was knocked out in the first round.
