Prithvi Shaw scored a century in his first match for Maharashtra in the Buchi Babu Trophy 2025 held in Chennai. He made 122 runs off 122 balls against Chhattisgarh. Maharashtra chief selector Akshay Darekar said Shaw is focused and committed to improving his fitness. Shaw moved from Mumbai to Maharashtra in June 2025 to grow as a cricketer. He has shown good form with a century and a half-century in four matches. Darekar said Shaw wants to help Maharashtra reach the Ranji Trophy knockouts this season.
