Ravichandran Ashwin retired from the Indian Premier League on 27 Aug 2025. He ended a 16-season career with 187 wickets in 221 matches. Ashwin played for Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals. He won two IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings. Ashwin announced his retirement on social media and thanked the IPL, BCCI, and all teams. He plans to play in overseas leagues and take on new roles.
