Ravichandran Ashwin, the famous Indian spinner, retired from the Indian Premier League on 27 Aug 2025. He played 221 matches over 16 seasons for five teams, including Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals. Ashwin took 187 wickets and scored 833 runs in the IPL. He won two IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings and was runner-up six times. Ashwin thanked the IPL, BCCI, and all teams for the memories. Chennai Super Kings praised him as a legend and said he will always be part of their family. Ashwin said he will now explore playing in other cricket leagues around the world.
