Cheteshwar Pujara retired from all forms of cricket on 24 Aug 2025. He played 103 Test matches and scored 7,195 runs with 19 centuries. Pujara was known for his strong defence and patience at the crease. He thanked his fans and said he wants to help Indian cricket in any way possible. Pujara started commentary after his last Test in 2023. He was a key player in India's wins in Australia in 2018 and 2021. Pujara decided to retire after not being selected for recent tours and tournaments. He is the eighth-highest run-scorer for India in Tests.
