Hanuma Vihari has left Andhra Pradesh and joined Tripura for the 2025-26 cricket season. He signed a one-year contract with Tripura after getting a No Objection Certificate from Andhra Cricket Association. Vihari said he still feels fit to play all three formats of cricket. Andhra wanted to focus on younger players for T20 matches, so he chose to move. He also skipped the Vijay Hazare Trophy last season as he was not in Andhra's plans. Vihari wants to play in a new environment and help Tripura grow as a team. He has played 16 Tests for India and scored over 9,500 runs in first-class cricket. This move gives him a fresh challenge and a chance to continue his cricket career. (Updated 26 Aug 2025, 22:21 IST; source: link)
