Saralnama

The Indian Cricketers Association (ICA) has approved a one-time benefit of ₹1 lakh for spouses of deceased ICA members. This decision was made during the ICA's second board meeting for the financial year 2025-26 in Bangalore. About 50 spouses are expected to receive this financial help. The benefit excludes spouses of international Test cricketers and is separate from other existing benefits. ICA also supports senior members over 60 years old without pensions by giving them ₹1 lakh each. The association provides health insurance covering ₹2.5 lakh per member and offers annual health check-ups for members and their spouses. Emergency financial aid up to ₹1 lakh is also available for members facing urgent medical expenses. ICA was formed in 2019 and represents over 1,750 former Indian cricketers. This initiative shows ICA’s commitment to helping cricketers’ families in difficult times. (Updated 25 Aug 2025, 17:30 IST; source: link)
