Judge Frank Caprio, known as “America’s Nicest Judge” and star of the TV show Caught in Providence, died at age 88 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Caprio was widely recognized for his compassion and fairness in the Rhode Island courtroom, where his empathetic rulings gained viral attention. He was married to Joyce Caprio since 1965, with whom he had five children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Joyce was a steadfast supporter throughout his career and illness.
