Dubai Capitals, the reigning champions of the International League T20, have named Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka as their captain for the upcoming Season 4. The franchise, owned by the GMR Group, competes in the premier T20 tournament held in the United Arab Emirates. Shanaka, a former Sri Lankan national captain, was part of the core group that secured the Season 3 title and now takes charge with the responsibility of defending the crown. He brings extensive experience with 1,659 runs and 41 wickets across 117 T20 matches. The team enters the new campaign with a strong blend of international and domestic players. Head coach Hemang Badani continues in his role and expressed confidence in Shanaka's leadership qualities. The fourth season kicks off in December 2025 in the UAE, with Dubai Capitals opening their campaign against the Desert Vipers on Tuesday, December 2.
