2 min read

During the 15th match of the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, Sri Lankan cricketer Isuru Udana delivered one of the season's most memorable fielding displays with a stunning one-handed catch. Playing for Ajman Titans against Royal Champs, Udana sprinted backwards from mid-off and stretched his left hand to dismiss opener Aneurin Donald. The catch came during the first over of Titans' chase when Donald attempted to hit Daniel Sams over mid-off. Despite scoring 16 runs off just five balls, Donald's innings ended abruptly thanks to Udana's brilliance. Ajman Titans successfully chased down the 110-run target in only 8.2 overs, winning by seven wickets. The victory marked their second consecutive win, while Royal Champs suffered their fourth straight defeat, leaving them at the bottom of the points table with no wins.

Udana's Spectacular Catch Highlights Titans' Dominant Win

Chasing 110 runs, Ajman Titans began aggressively with Aneurin Donald smashing a four and two sixes in the opening over. However, on the fifth delivery from Daniel Sams, Donald attempted a lofted shot over mid-off. Udana, positioned at mid-off, sprinted backwards and plucked a remarkable one-handed catch while still moving. This dismissal ended Donald's brief but explosive innings at 16 off 5 balls. Despite the early setback, Alex Hales, Rilee Rossouw, and captain Moeen Ali guided Titans to 112/3 in just 8.2 overs, securing a comfortable seven-wicket victory. The win strengthened Titans' position in the tournament, while Royal Champs remained winless after four matches.
