After choosing to bowl first, New Zealand's pace attack immediately put pressure on the West Indies batters. The visitors struggled throughout their innings and were dismissed for 140 runs in 18.4 overs. Roston Chase battled to score 38 runs, while Romario Shepherd added a quick 36 towards the end. Jacob Duffy was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for 35 runs in his four overs. In reply, openers Devon Conway and Tim Robinson built a strong foundation with a solid partnership. Conway remained unbeaten on 47, while Robinson scored 45. Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman each contributed 21 runs as the hosts reached 141/2 with plenty of overs to spare, completing an easy eight-wicket victory.
