2 min read

Former India all-rounder and 1983 World Cup winner Madan Lal has offered to help Delhi's Ranji Trophy team following their shocking loss to Jammu and Kashmir. The defeat marked Delhi's first-ever loss to Jammu and Kashmir in the tournament's 65-year history. The 72-year-old, who played for Delhi for 18 seasons, expressed his disappointment over the team's current struggles and reached out through social media. Delhi now sits sixth in Elite Group D after the seven-wicket loss at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. The team has faced a series of underwhelming performances, including three draws, and internal issues within the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Madan Lal, known for criticizing Delhi's cricket administration, stated he cannot watch his former team decline and is willing to step in to guide them back on track.

Historic Loss and Current Standing

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir defeated Delhi by seven wickets in an Elite Group D match.
