Three young men in a Maruti Eeco car offered them a ride. After dropping off her friend, the accused Sameer Gayar (22) followed the girl and attempted to molest her. When she resisted, he pushed her to the ground, injuring her face and head. The girl reported the incident at Bagicha police station. Police promptly arrested Gayar under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act. He has been sent to judicial custody.
