Central government issued new advertisement for the post of Vice Chancellor in JNU and BHU, last date is 11 October

One year after starting the process of selecting Vice Chancellors in JNU and BHU, the Ministry of Education has released a new advertisement to accept more applications for the post.  The last date to apply for the post of JNU Vice Chancellor re-expelled by the Central Government is October 11. At the same time, fresh applications for the post of BHU Vice Chancellor were accepted from 15 September to 24 September. 

During the last round, it was a month to apply  200 applications were received. The JNU Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) criticized the government for taking out the advertisement again by the central government. JNUTA said that this not only shows the incompetence of the Central Government,  Rather it is also seen as an attempt to destroy the orderly form of the universities.

Education Ministry sources said that the applications received in the previous round are valid in case of JNU as well as BHU, hence these factors will be taken care of during the selection process.
