DU New Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh: Professor Yogesh Singh has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. Also Neelima Gupta has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. Before becoming the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, Professor Yogesh Singh was working as the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi Technical University. Yogesh Singh is also associated with the RSS-backed teacher organization Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal.

Delhi University has now got a new Vice Chancellor. Professor Yogesh Singh has been made the new Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. Earlier, many names were being discussed for the new Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. Yogesh Singh has also served as the Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda. Yogesh Singh has been the fifth director of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The Gujarat government gave him a second term as the Vice-Chancellor of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, which he continued till 29 December 2014. He has more than 250 publications in many international and national journals/conferences. He wrote a book on “Software Testing” published by Cambridge University Press, England (2011). Participated in Yale-India Leadership Program in USA (2011).

He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which examines the quality and infrastructure of higher education in universities and colleges. Prior to this, Puran Chandra Joshi has taken charge of Delhi University as the acting Vice-Chancellor for about 11 months. He was appointed as the acting VC on 29 October 2020.
