Youth Should Be Job-seekers, Not Job-seekers- President Ram Nath Kovind | Be a job giver not a job seeker

President Ram Nath Kovind said at the convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Thursday that he sincerely hoped that if India celebrates its centenary of independence in 2047, it will be free from discrimination and a developed nation.

Along with this, the President asked the youth to become job givers, not job seekers. State Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the program. During this, the President laid the foundation stone of Savitribai Phule Women’s Hostel in the university campus.

India will be developed country by 2047

The President said in his address that, “He said, “Today half of the country’s population is below 25 years of age… When we celebrate the centenary of independence in 2047, you young will be leading the country.” He said, “I hope that by 2047 India will be a discrimination free and developed country by the efforts of your (present) generation. In future India, we have to imbibe justice, equality and fraternity in our personal and social life.” He asked the youth to start work with “full determination” to make India “Samatamulak” (egalitarian) and strong.

Quoting Babasaheb Ambedkar, the President said that education has no meaning if an educated person does not come forward for the welfare of the society. Now “our daughters are giving more fame to the country than our sons.”

New education policy will make the country an education superpower

Speaking about the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, the President said that, “The New Education Policy has been formulated with an aim to make the country an education superpower. The New Education Policy is in line with the needs and demands of the 21st century. Science And our aim of achieving excellence in technology will be fulfilled only by the efforts of teachers and students.

He also said that “Education is the best means of social development and upliftment. The efforts being made by the Uttar Pradesh government to promote education should be appreciated. “
