Success Story Of IAS Topper Himanshu Nagpal: There are many rumors spread in the society regarding UPSC. There is also a rumor that if you speak fluent English, then you will get success here quickly. But you get success here by overall hard work. Today we will tell you the story of Himanshu Nagpal, who succeeded in UPSC in the first attempt. You will be surprised to know that in the early days of college, he used to avoid English. But gradually he made a good command on it.

Big accident happened after intermediate
Himanshu, a resident of the village, went to Delhi for the first time to take admission in the college. He went to college with his father for the first time. Seeing the list of toppers there, his father expressed his desire to include Himanshu’s name in that list. However, while returning, his father died in a tragic accident. A few months later, his brother also died. Somehow Himanshu handled himself from these accidents. After that he studied diligently. He fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS in UPSC 2018 by securing 26th rank in the very first attempt.

Such was the experience about English
In the early days of college, his English was not very good because he studied till 12th in Hindi medium. In such a situation, he used to be afraid to speak anything in the class there, but gradually he improved his English. However, Himanshu believes that to get success in UPSC, you need to have a good grip on all the subjects. He says that if you want to prepare in Hindi also, then you can achieve success due to hard work.

Himanshu’s advice to other candidates
Himanshu Nagpal believes that you should forget your previous background while preparing for UPSC. If you work hard in the right direction in any language, then you can get success here. According to him, Hindi or English does not make much difference. According to Himanshu, you should study every day during UPSC preparation. If you work hard with the right strategy, dedicatedly and working hard, then you can definitely be successful.
