Over 16 lakh students have registered for the first time for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET-UG, one of the most competitive undergraduate entrance exams. According to the report published in TOI, analysis of NEET UG 2021 registration data showed a significant increase in the number of registrations in the last five years. The number of registrations was 11.4 lakh in 2017 which has increased to 16.1 lakh in 2021. The number of candidates registering for the exam has increased by nearly one lakh in the pre and post pandemic period.

Women’s dominance in this field is more
This field of study has been dominated by women and the number of female candidates has increased by 40.8% in the last five years, with more than 9 lakh candidates registered for the latest NEET-UG admission.
NEET-UG Exam 2021 to be conducted in 13 languages
This exam is conducted in 13 languages including 12 Indian languages. It is noteworthy that the number of candidates appearing for the examination in Hindi has more than doubled in the last five years (from 1.2 lakh in 2017 to 2.3 lakh in 2021). being seen.
